First of all, Hello! We are Dave Double and Robert Hepworth, and you may (or may not) know us from the award-winning catering company Plenty of Thyme. But as I’m sure you can guess, we are expanding the services we offer and we wanted to put all of our new (and potential) clients’ minds at rest by providing a bit of clarity.

So what has actually changed? Truthfully, not much.

Thanks to such an exceptional start-up and branding, there is no need to change much of anything. Same team, same logo, same uniforms, same stellar service!

The team is still looking forward to plenty of upcoming events! So if you already have a booking with us there is no cause for concern.

Over the past 3 years, Carla, Lee and Simon have been instrumental in fostering Beyond Bar Hire’s growth from a small independent business to an established company with a stellar reputation for high-quality service in and around Colchester.

Their contribution to the business from start-up to this day cannot be overstated, which is why when making the decision to pass the company on, they decided to do so, only, into trusted hands.

As we mentioned earlier, we work as part of the award-winning catering team at Plenty of Thyme. Based in Essex, we’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Carla, Lee and Simon in Colchester, and its surrounding areas, since the mobile bar hire Colchester company began. Overseeing Beyond Bar Hire’s new management will be Plenty of Thyme’s Robert Hepworth.

Capable and devoted, he is relinquishing his day job as a school teacher in order to ensure Beyond Bar Hire is given ‘plenty of thyme’, love and attention. Admittedly this isn’t Robert’s first day on the job – before becoming a school teacher, he was a multi-managing man about town, managing different, large bar/restaurants.

We pride ourselves on our professional and personal approach to running our businesses, ensuring you receive the highest quality of excellence for your event.
